The Natural History Museum
In the Natural History Museum in London there are two of the Corsi tables of marble samples. In the 19th century Corsi made a collection of 1000 specimens of marble which he sold to the University of Oxford. A second set went to what was then the Geological Museum in Jermyn Street; they are now to be found in the basement of the Natural History Museum. They contain samples of cipollino (Plates 8.70 & 8.71).
